STARR STUDIO

The studio has the following audio equipment:

• 2 Shure SLX14/93 Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone Systems

• Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Mic with boom pole and stand

• 2 Neumann TLM-102 Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphones with refraction filters for podcasting

• Zoom LiveTrak L-12 - 12-Channel Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder

• Acoustic paneling to reduce echo and reverb

 

Audio Board Layout:

• Channel 1 - Shure Wireless #1

• Channel 2 - Shure Wireless #2

• Channel 3 - Sennheiser Shotgun

• Channel 5 - Neumann #1

• Channel 6 - Neumann #2

• Channel 7/8 - reserved for editing PC

 

Recording:

• All 4 Blackmagic recording monitors receive the master mix to be recorded along with the video

• Using the recording settings on the bottom right, separate channels can be recorded internally in the audio board for editing.

Monitoring:

• The main outputs feed the 4 recording monitors through a distribution amplifier

• The control room output will control the volume on the studio monitors but not affect the recording

• Headphones can also be plugged directly into the board
